The production of ROBIN started as a proof of concept for a larger film. The concept that needed to be proven was "Can I make an action/fight scene with next to no budget?" What grew out of it was a story I think many of us can relate to about a troubled kid who is a sympathetic witness to an indifferent world plagued by bullying and violence towards women. It's a story that felt right being told through the eyes of a kid we all know and love to be a superhero fighting alongside one of the most iconic heroes of all time. I think it's a story about the hero in all of us that's frustrated at the cruelty we see everyday, be it on TV, in our homes, or on the streets. I know, I know, it's not exactly the Robin origin we all grew up with, and I by no means am staking a claim on a character that's been around for decades longer than I have, so I appreciate you keeping an open mind viewing, let's call it, an "alternate universe" version of Robin.
